NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Albion College climbed the Division III performance list in the women's 4x100 relay and men's shot put in the Dr. Keeler Invitational.
Cianna Brown, Alexis McGinley, Chalara Sutton and Layla Wilks should be 13th on the list (after teams with multiple entries are removed) are setting an Albion outdoor record of 47.90 seconds. That time is also the second-fastest in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association history.
Frazier moved up to 14th on the list with the second-longest shot put in Albion outdoor history. It was measured at 16.32 meters, the equivalent of 53' 6 ½".
Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
The College is continuing to raise funds in support of both projects. To learn more, call 517/629-0446 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
