ALBION, Mich. - Albion College completed a winning weekend with a 14-6 victory over Augustana College in non-league women's lacrosse action at the Davis Athletic Complex on Sunday.
The victory, coupled with Albion's 18-5 Saturday victory over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Trine University, lifts the Britons to 6-3 overall.
Sheklow was efficient, scoring on four of her six shots on goal.
Muns finished with three goals, giving her 60 for her career, and she stuffed the box score with two assists, five groundballs and four caused turnovers.
Lopez, who finished with a goal and two assists, helped Albion maintain possession by controlling the draw seven times.
It will be MIAA competition from here on for Albion, starting with a Tuesday home date against Adrian College. The draw is set for 7 p.m. at the Davis Athletic Complex.
Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
