Britons Drop Game Against Kenyon

Albion scored twice in their loss to Kenyon. Juniors Grace Connolly and Lauren Beougher both put points on the board for the Britons.

In the top of the fourth, freshman Shanyn Jewell singled to right center and was able to advance to second. Junior Skyler Herman would later advance to third that same inning. Jewell hit a single down the third base line in the sixth. Moments later, Herman advanced to third.

Herman led the day with three hits, followed by Jewell with two and Beougher with one. Jewell had two RBIs.

Freshman Ashley Pion pitched for the Britons. She struck out six batters and allowed four earned runs in her six frames.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.

The College is continuing to raise funds in support of both projects. To learn more, call 517/629-0446 or email advancement@albion.edu
