ADRIAN, Mich. – Catcher Kaitlyn Hotchkin picked up her sixth RBI of the season Monday as Albion College came away from its non-league doubleheader with Siena Heights University with 3-1 and 11-0 losses.
Hotchkin's two-out single in the fifth drove in Erica Wagner who walked earlier in the inning.
Albion had scoring chances, stranding Wagner at third base in the first inning, getting two runners on base in the third and stranding Monica Brugnoni at third in the fourth inning.
Albion collected three hits and drew four walks in the game. Lauren Oppliger, Wagner and Hotchkin all had a hit and a walk.
Oppliger, Hotchkin, Brugnoni and Andrea Benson all hit singles for the Britons.
The Britons have another non-league doubleheader Friday as they travel to Chicago for games at North Park University. Albion hopes to make its home debut Saturday with a doubleheader against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Kalamazoo College.
