The Albion men's tennis posted two victories Monday in Hilton Head, S.C. -- defeating Waynesburg (Pa.) University, 6-3, and later in the day, edging Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio), 5-4.
In the first match sophomore Patrick Smoker, freshman Matt Czarnecki, junior Sagar Kamaraju and sophomore Tselmeg Mendsaikhan all posted singles victories while in doubles, the teams of Kamaraju and Czarnecki and Patrick and sophomore Stephen Smoker also won.
In the later match the Britons swept the doubles competition with wins by Brett Gurzell and Toma Shngoo, Kamaraju and Czarnecki and Smoker and Smoker. In singles competition, Czarnecki and Kamaraju posted victories.
The win improved Albion's record to 5-3 and the Britons will continue competition in Hilton Head Wednesday against Bridgewater College (Va.)
