ALBION, Mich. – Albion College finished first in 14 of the 18 events and it had at least the top two performers in seven as it celebrated a successful senior day in a triangular women's track and field meet at the Elkin Isaac Track.
Layla Wilks and Alexis McGinley were the top two performers in the sprints.
Albion had the top six runners in the 100, with Wilks reaching the finish in 12.37 seconds and McGinley in 12.57. Wilks' winning time in the 200 was 26.18, with McGinley trailing in 26.31.
Emilee Kinney and Chalara Sutton joined Wilks and McGinley to win the 4x100 relay with a time of 49.86 seconds.
Hannah Almhiemid was the winner in the hurdles. She finished the 100 in 15.87 seconds and the 400 in 1:09.29.
Also for the Britons:
- McGinley and Kimberly Barber finished first and second, respectively, in the long jump
- Tyra Thomas-Spratley won the high jump with Almhiemid in third
- ShaQuoria Thompson won the discus throw with Anna Albaugh in third
- Albaugh would finish the meet by taking first in the javelin throw
- Cianna Brown and Ashley Dubois were the top two performers in the triple jump
- Jessica Johnson was the runner up in the shot put
- Jordan Revenaugh ran past the field in the 1,500 meters, with Leaha Sinnaeve in third
- Allison Butler, Lauren McDowell and Dubois were the top three performers in the 400 meters
- Hannah Adams and Tessa Triest were the top two runners in the 800 meters
- Revenaugh and Sinnaeve were second and third in the 3,000 meters
- Emily Kinser, Thomas-Spratley, Sutton and Brown formed the winning team in the 4x400 relay

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
