Cassie Vince was selected as the Most Valuable Female Runner of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Outdoor Track & Field Championship. The junior from Amherst, Ohio won the 5,000- and 10,000-meter races in the championship meet.
Vince joins a special list of Albion women's track & field athletes. Chelsea Anthony (2012) and Kristin Nelson (2013) were Britons selected as Most Valuable Field performers in the MIAA, and Wendy Lombardi (1984) and Kathy Dec (1985) were named the Most Valuable Performers before separate track and field award winners were designated in 2001.
