Morrison Claims School Record

DELAWARE, Ohio – Angela Morrison produced 18 points in the two hurdles events to lead Albion College in the Marv Frye Invitational.

The senior from Westland, Mich., won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.57 seconds and she achieved a school record of 1:05.54 in finishing second in the 400 hurdles.

The 100 hurdles was Albion's best event of the day. Maicey Peterson and T'Ana Smith finished third and fourth, respectively.

Peterson also tied for eighth in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 10' 2".

Jessica Johnson, a first-year student-athlete from Eaton Rapids, Mich., finished third with a personal record of 37' ¼" in the shot put. She added an eighth place finish with a heave of 109' 3" in the discus throw.

Morrison and Peterson also led Albion to third place in the 4x100 relay.

Coach Lance Coleman noted Richelle Hawkins achieved a personal record, sprinting to a time of 13.22 in the 100 meters.
