OLIVET, Mich. – Emilee Kinney produced a runner-up finish in the 100 meters and Jessica Shaw finished third in a pair of races as Albion College achieved a fourth place finish in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Track & Field Championships.

Kinney was joined by fellow first-year student-athlete Tyra Thomas-Spratley in the 100-meter final. Kinney reached the finish in 12.73 seconds, with Thomas-Spratley coming in fourth.

Thomas-Spratley added a fourth place finish in the 200 with Kinney coming in seventh.

Kinney and Thomas-Spratley were joined by Jalysa Bard and Maicey Peterson in a third place finish in the 4x100 relay.

Shaw achieved times of 2:18.87 in the 800 and 4:45.55 in the 1,500.

The 100 hurdles was a good event for Albion with Peterson finishing fourth and Angela Morrison contributing points by finishing sixth.

In the field, Albion picked up a point from Marissa Stegman's eighth place finish in the javelin throw.

Albion collected 85 points in the meet to finish 20 points behind third-place Adrian College. Calvin College (268 ½) and Hope College (178 ½) were the top two teams.
