In her first season, Albion achieved a 4-4 record against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals and seven victories overall. Lauren Rasmussen was an all-MIAA second team pick.

The assistant coach at Albion for the men’s and women’s tennis teams for the 2015 and 2016 seasons, Zuck is a 2009 graduate of Jackson County Western High School. She maintained her connections in Jackson County, serving as the head coach of the varsity girls team at her alma mater for the 2016 season and as well as offering group and private lessons.

Miller was a finalist for the Michigan High School Tennis Coaches Association’s State Coach of the Year award by virtue of gaining Regional Coach of the Year status for leading the Western squad to the Michigan High School Athletic Association state tournament.

A 2013 graduate of Ferris State University, Miller worked as the director of early development at a tennis academy in Atlanta, Ga. She returned to Michigan to complete her MBA and teach tennis locally.

She holds multiple tennis teaching and coaching certifications through various national and international organizations, including the United States Professional Tennis Association, Professional Tennis Registry, and the United States Tennis Association.

“I am thrilled to begin working with both teams full time as the head coach,” Miller said. “I started my tennis career 12 years ago being taught lessons by Scott Frew at Albion, so I am excited for the opportunity to fill this role and reestablish Albion as a dominating force in tennis.

“After working with the players on both teams over the past two seasons, I am confident that we can build strong and competitive teams for both the men and women,” she added. “I look forward to working with the student athletes and help them grow as students and players to realize their potential both on and off court.”
