ALBION, Mich. – Olivia Conover celebrated her final home collegiate match by scoring the victory to clinch the match as Albion College turned back Olivet College, 6-3, in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's tennis action.
A senior from Flushing, Mich., Conover defeated Rachael Hager 7-6 (10-8), 4-6, 6-4 in the No. 1 singles match.
Madelyn Polich, a three-set winner at No. 4, and Bella Scalise, a winner in straight sets at No. 5, also earned singles points for Albion.
Albion swept the three doubles matches. The most important point may have come from Marceline Redick and Scalise who pulled out a 9-7 decision in the No. 2 match.
Albion will complete the season with a Wednesday afternoon match at Kalamazoo College.
