Conover scores point in women's tennis loss

ALBION, Mich. – Olivia Conover pulled out a pro set to decide the No. 1 singles match, but that was the only point Albion College would secure in an 8-1 loss to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Adrian College inside the Ungrodt Tennis Center.

The other five singles matches were decided in straight sets, though Marceline Redick battled to a 6-1, 7-5 loss to Amber Laginess in the second flight.

Albion (3-9 overall and 1-1 against MIAA rivals) is scheduled to play a home match against Trine University on Sunday. The first serve is set for 1 p.m.
