ALMA, Mich. – Christina Rafaill and Madelyn Polich pulled out three-set singles matches as Albion College edged Alma College, 6-3, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's tennis match.
The Britons rallied from a set down in both matches.
Olivia Conover and Marceline Redick won their singles matches in straight sets for the Britons.
Albion took the early 2-1 lead in the match with victories in the second (Redick and Bella Scalise) and third (Abby Burris and Kirstin Moore) of doubles.
Albion, 3-8 overall and 1-0 against MIAA rivals, will play its next two matches at home. The Britons square off against Adrian College in a 4 p.m. Tuesday match.
