HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Albion College women's tennis team opened a series of spring break matches with a 9-0 loss to Bridgewater (Va.) College.
Bella Scalise gave Albion its best chance at a point. Playing No. 5 singles, Scalise pulled out a tiebreaker to take the second set. Rachel Zarin eventually pulled out the match 6-1, 6-7 (4-7), 1-0 (10-5).
Albion won 11 games in the other five singles matches.
Albion has a few days off for spring break training before a Thursday match against Division II Ashland University.
