Women's Tennis bounced by Alma, B-W

ALBION, Mich. – Albion College came away with a pair of losses – 6-3 to Alma College and 7-2 to Baldwin-Wallace University – in non-league women's tennis action inside the Ungrodt Tennis Center.

The outcome of the match against Alma hinged on two matches. Albion earned a point in doubles as Olivia Conover and Bella Scalise were 8-2 winners at No. 1, but the Britons could have had more if not for a 9-7 loss by Madelyn Polich and Marceline Redick in the No. 2 match.

Redick and Polich won their singles matches in straight sets. Conover split sets in the No. 1 match, but lost the tiebreaker to decide the match, 10-5.

Christina Rafaill and Scalise won their singles matches against Baldwin-Wallace.

Albion (1-2 overall) will play at home against Feb. 11 with a match against the College of Wooster.
