Rasmussen Scores In Women's Tennis Loss

ALBION, Mich. – Lauren Rasmussen scored a point in No. 3 singles in Albion College's 8-1 loss to Baldwin-Wallace University in a non-league women's tennis match.

Rasmussen won the first set, 6-2, and was leading in the second when her opponent retired. Rasmussen has won both of her singles matches in dual meets this school year.

Heather Vogt and Olivia Conover won sets in their respective matches.

Playing at the top of the lineup, Vogt won the first set, 6-1, and she lost control of the match when she lost the lead in a second set tiebreaker. Vogt lost the deciding set, 6-3.

Conover, playing No. 4 singles, also won her first set, 6-1, and lost a second set tiebreaker. She lost the third set tiebreaker, 10-7, to decide the match.

Rachel Barry and Conover pushed their opponents to a 9-7 score in the No. 3 doubles match.

Albion will play at home again Feb. 6 against Cornerstone University.
