ALBION, Mich. – Irene Chen produced Albion's point in an 8-1 loss to Saint Mary's in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's tennis match.
Chen defeated Andrea Fetters 7-6 (5), 0-6, 1-0 to claim the No. 1 singles match. Chen boasts a 7-4 singles record this spring, including a 4-2 record in MIAA dual matches.
Saint Mary's dropped 11 games in winning the other five singles matches.
Next up for Albion is a Monday date at Kalamazoo.
