Britons dominate Penn State Behrend

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Albion College seized the momentum with narrow victories at No. 2 and 3 doubles and it rolled to a 8-1 victory over Penn State Behrend in spring break women's tennis action.

Olivia Conover and Lauren Rasmussen pulled out a tiebreaker to win at No. 2 doubles and Rachel Barry and Jessica Scott edged their opponents, 8-6, at No. 3.

With the 3-0 lead after doubles, Albion picked up straight sets singles wins from Irene Chen, Margaux Kabodian, Rasmussen, Barry and Scott. Kabodian and Rasmussen won their matches by 6-0, 6-1 scores. Barry won her match 6-2, 6-0, Scott was a 6-1, 6-2 winner and Chen ruled the top of the lineup 6-3, 6-3.

Albion returns to the court Wednesday afternoon to challenge Swarthmore.
