A record setting night for Albion in women's swimming

HOLLAND, Mich. – Rileigh Eding, Anna Moore and Samantha Swingewood achieved Albion College records in Thursday action in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championship.

Eding sprinted to second place in the 50 freestyle, reaching the finish in 23.82 seconds.

Earlier in the evening session, Eding joined Tia Ulieme, Hannah Erickson and Allison Dasky for the 11th fastest time in Division III this season in the 200 freestyle relay. The Britons set a time of 1:35.20.

Swingewood claimed the bronze medal in the 200 individual medley, finishing in a school record time of 2:09.08. Her sister, Courtney, reached the final and finished fifth in 2:12.79.

Albion capped the night with a school record in the 400 medley relay. Moore led off with a school and MIAA open record in the 100 backstroke (55.84 seconds). Kaitlind Hooper added a lifetime best split (1:07.03). Samantha Swingewood and Eding were the anchors as Albion finished in 3:51.73.
