Albion swims past MIAA rival

OLIVET, Mich. – Albion College defeated Olivet College, 135-77, to finish the season with a 3-2 record against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals in dual meets.

Next up for the Britons is the MIAA Championship which stretch from Feb. 21-24 in Grand Rapids.

Head Coach Jake Taber said the meet was an extension of the Britons training with Lauren Hall winning the breaststroke events, Megan Harvey taking first place in the 50-yard freestyle and the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay events, Hannah Erickson winning the 100 freestyle and joining the 200 freestyle relay and Tia Ulieme touching the wall first in the 100 backstroke and joining the 200 freestyle relay.

In fact, Taber made special note of how the 200 freestyle relay (Harvey, Ulieme, Erickson and Rileigh Eding) was comprised of student-athletes who have transferred into the program.

Anna Moore (200 backstroke), Alexandra Horman (500 freestyle) and Katy Henning (200 individual medley) also won individual events for the Britons.
