Women's Soccer Schedule Announced

The 2020 Albion women's soccer schedule has been officially announced, and can be found on gobrits.com.

The Brits are scheduled to play their first game on Sept. 1 when they travel to play Franklin College. The home opener for Albion is planned for Sept. 5 when they host Kenyon College. The Britons will begin conference play on Sept. 30 when they go on the road to face the Hornets of Kalamazoo College.

Last season, Albion finished with an 8-7-2 overall record, and a 4-3-1 record against MIAA opponents. The Brits qualified for the MIAA postseason tournament as the fifth seed, then beat Alma College in the first round by a score of 2-1 to advance. Albion lost in the semifinals to Adrian College.

In 2019, two seniors earned all-conference status. Midfielder Emily Wolford gained first team status, while forward Riley Burnette earned second team honors. Both were later named to the All-North/Central Region third team.

This will be Head Coach Eric Scott's eighth year at the helm.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.

The College is continuing to raise funds in support of both projects. To learn more, call 517/629-0446 or email advancement@albion.edu
