Women's Soccer dropped in overtime

HOLLAND, Mich. – Albion College came within 2 ½ minutes of shaking up the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's soccer standings Tuesday night.

Rylie Dalton scored in the second overtime to keep Hope College atop the MIAA standings with a 1-0 result over the Britons. Dalton made a quick turn after taking a cross from Rachael Bragington.

A tie would have dropped Hope (5-0-1 against MIAA rivals) into second place.

Hope was relentless in its pressure, placing 13 of its 29 shots on goal.

Clare Kelley placed Albion's only shot on goal in the 11th minute.  Samantha LaRocca and Alex Radzville were credited with Albion's other shots in the contest.

Albion (7-7-1 overall and 4-2 against MIAA rivals) returns home Saturday for a noon kickoff against Calvin College.
