Women's Soccer Gains Point On MIAA Ledger

ADRIAN, Mich. – Alex Radzville scored with 12 minutes left in regulation as Albion College salvaged a 1-1 draw with Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Adrian College in women's soccer action Thursday night.

It was the first time Albion gained a point on the MIAA ledger at Adrian since Eric Scott took over as head coach of the Britons in 2013.

Albion played with urgency after being outshot, 7-1, in the first half. Mya Oleksiak scored for the Bulldogs in the 16th minute.

Albion had a 5-4 edge in shots in the second half and it was not credited with a shot in either overtime period. The Britons did have a scoring chance in overtime as Samantha LaRocca was carrying the ball toward the box with time winding down.

Both goalkeepers – Adrian's Ayverie Giller and Albion's Maggie Troost – finished the night with four saves.

Albion (2-2-1 overall and 1-1-1 against MIAA rivals) travels to Olivet College at 2:30 p.m. Saturday for a MIAA contest.
