Britons Get Point In MIAA Standings

ALMA, Mich. – Albion College had an 11-5 edge in shots on goal, but it had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Alma College.

Jenna Urso finished a pass from Emily Wolford for the Briton goal in the fourth minute of the contest. It was Urso's second goal of the season and her first since the Sept. 15 contest at Hope College.

Urso had other scoring chances, finishing the day with 10 shots overall and placing four on goal. Domenique Sarnecky had seven shots (three on goal).

Alma scored the equalizer 10 ½ minutes into the second half on Macayla Greiner's strike.

Albion, 4-6-2 overall and 3-6-1 against MIAA rivals, will play both of its league contests at home next week with a Wednesday night contest against Calvin College and an 11 a.m. Saturday kickoff against Hope College.
