Marisa DeCamp and Carly Schwarz headline the Albion College picks to the all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's lacrosse teams released Wednesday morning.
DeCamp, a senior defender from Howell, Mich., and Schwarz, a junior in the midfield from Clinton Township, Mich., and a graduate of Henry Ford II High School, were first team award winners.
Representing Albion on the all-MIAA second team were Darcy Muns, a junior on the attack from Lake Orion, Mich., Chrystelle Lopez and Destiny Okon, both first-year midfielders from Van Nuys, Calif., and Jade Barrett, a sophomore on the defense from North Hills, Calif.
In addition, Alexis Robinson, a first-year goalkeeper from Agoura Hills, Calif., was the pick for Rookie of the Year.
Statistics listed below are for the eight games played against MIAA rivals.
Schwarz finished sixth in the MIAA with 37 points (22 goals, 15 assists) and she was third with 37 groundballs. She also stuffed the box score by controlling the draw 20 times and causing 11 turnovers.
Lopez (17 goals and 11 assists for 28 points) and Muns (19 goals and 8 assists for 27 points) finished in the top 11 in the MIAA in scoring. Lopez also played an important role in gaining possession with 22 groundballs and 15 draw controls.
Okon, who chipped in with 16 goals and an assist for 17 points, finished third in the MIAA by controlling the draw 42 times.
DeCamp, Barrett and Robinson factored into a defensive unit that yielded 54 goals, third-fewest in the MIAA. Robinson achieved a .522 save percentage and a 6.60 goals against average while logging 300 minutes as the goalkeeper in six MIAA games.
Albion finished the regular season at 12-4 overall and 7-1 against MIAA rivals. It gained the No. 2 seed for the MIAA Tournament and will host Calvin College in a Wednesday semifinal contest at 8 p.m. Admission, $7 for adults and $5 for kids 18 years and younger, will be charged upon entry.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
