ADA, Ohio – Chrystelle Lopez scored with 28 seconds left, lifting Albion College to a 15-14 victory over Ohio Northern University in non-league women's lacrosse action.

Lopez and Abby Sheklow each scored five goals for Albion.

  • Lopez, a first-year midfielder from Van Nuys, Calif., has scored at least two goals in all five contests this season. However, her five goals on Wednesday was a season high.
  • Sheklow, a sophomore on the attack from La Cresenta, Calif., matched her career high. She scored five goals in a game twice last season, including in Albion's victory over Ohio Northern.

Albion spotted Ohio Northern the first five goals of the contest and it trailed by as many as six on two occasions in the first half.

Lopez and Sheklow scored four times, Carly Schwarz produced two goals and an assist and Jade Barrett chipped in with a goal as Albion came back to lead, 11-10, at halftime.

Albion never trailed in the second half as Destiny Okon and Marah Ranger scored goals to keep the Britons ahead by one each time.

Sheklow scored her fifth of the game midway through the second half.

Alexis Robinson, a first-year goalkeeper from Agoura Hills, Calif., collected three saves in 43 minutes to get credit for the victory, the first of her collegiate career.

Albion, 3-2 overall, has a Sunday afternoon game at Hanover College.
