Britons complete second half rally

BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. – Chrystelle Lopez scored with two minutes left to lift Albion College to a 12-11 victory over Carthage College in the opening game of the women's lacrosse season.

Lopez goal capped a furious rally as Albion trailed 11-6 midway through the second half.

Abby Sheklow scored twice in the final 12 minutes and she assisted on Darcy Muns' goal as Albion forged a tie at 11 with 6 ½ minutes left. Sheklow finished the night with three goals and three assists.

Goalkeeper Jenina Villabroza protected the lead by making the save on a free position shot just 11 seconds after Lopez had put the Britons in front. Villabroza finished with 15 saves.

Lopez finished the night with four goals, Muns had three and Marah Ranger chipped in with two.

Albion will continue non-league play next Saturday at Northern Michigan.
