Senior leadership key in women's golf round

MARSHALL, Mich. – Madison Kroetsch shot a season-best 82 Thursday, helping Albion College achieve a third place finish in the first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's golf jamboree. The round was played at The Medalist Golf Club.

Kroetsch finished tied for ninth among the 54 players on the course.

"I'm proud of the leadership we received from the seniors," Coach Jordan McArleton said, adding Megan Moco returned to the clubhouse after a round of 85. "Finishing third keeps in the hunt for the spring playoffs which is our goal for the year. It was a good start to the season."

Sydney Cohn (89) and Grace Hoffman (90) contributed to Albion's 346 total.

Playing as an individual, Bailey Downs produced a round of 89.
