Women's Basketball falls on the road

ANGOLA, Ind. – Albion College shot 29 percent, and the trouble scoring contributed to a 59-42 loss to 10th-ranked Trine University Wednesday night.

Trine sprinted out to a 35-17 halftime lead and it never looked back.

Three Britons scored in double figures and two narrowly missed a double-double.

  • Rain Hinton led the Britons with 12 points and she grabbed eight rebounds.
  • Jami Hubbard scored 11 points. She secured eight rebounds, pulling down five on the offensive end.
  • Sam Carter was Albion's best shooter, finishing 5-of-11 from the field. She chipped in with 10 points.

Trine's Brandi Dawson led all players with 19 points.

Albion finished the first round of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play with a 6-2 record. The Britons, 13-3 overall, will complete a series of three games on the road with a 5 p.m. Saturday tip at Olivet College.
