Women's Basketball finishes winning week

LANSING, Mich. – Albion College had seven players score in double figures during a 100-38 victory over Great Lakes Christian College in non-league women's basketball action at the Doty Center.

Evelyn Wischmeyer led the starting unit with 15 points. She hit 5-of-6 shots from the field, including her only 3-point attempt. The junior from Lake Orion, Mich., also made all four of her shots from the free throw line. Wischmeyer stuffed the box score with three steals, two assists and two blocked shots.

Emily Bernas hit all six of her shots from the field to finish with 13 points.

Jami Hubbard reached double figures for the second time this week, finishing with 10 points. She was 3-fo-4 from the field and from the line.

Amanda Larson and Brooke Schutte led the reserves with 12 points apiece. They combined to hit 4-of-5 from 3-point range.

Maija Gillum fell a rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Madelyne Standley completed her first collegiate double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Albion, 6-1 overall, jumps back into Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action with a Wednesday home game against Saint Mary's College. The tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
