NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – Rain Hinton produced her first double-double of the season to lead Albion College to a 66-57 victory over Bethany (W. Va.) College in the championship game of the Main View Tip-Off Tournament.

An all-tournament pick, Hinton, a sophomore from Fort Wayne, Ind., finished with 20 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. She knocked down 8-of-16 shots from the field.

Maija Gillum sparked a 11-0 Albion run in the fourth quarter with two baskets that produced five points. The Britons held a 54-46 lead on Hinton's jumper with 5 ½ minutes left.

Gillum contributed 14 points off the bench, while Emily Bernas, the tournament's most valuable player, added 11 points for Albion. Sam Carter stuffed the box score with nine points, six assists and two steals.

Albion, off to a 3-0 start, will travel to a tournament hosted by North Park University next weekend. The Britons will meet the University of Wisconsin-Stout in the opening round next Saturday.
