GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Calvin College outscored Albion College in every quarter to take a 82-59 victory in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's basketball action.

Evelyn Wischmeyer and Emily Bernas scored the first two baskets of the game as Albion took an early 4-0 lead, but Calvin answered with the next 11 points. Ali Spayde knocked down a pair of 3-point baskets to ignite the Knights.

The Britons cut the deficit to five on a couple of occasions in the first quarter, but that was as close as they would get.

Brittany Leutz scored a career-high 15 to lead the Britons. Maija Gillum shot 50 percent from the field (5-of-10) to produce 11 points off the bench.

Spayde led all players with 23 points. Kara Minderhoud (15), Rachel Warners (13), Becca Richards (12) and Bre Luurtsema (11) also scored in double figures for Calvin.

Albion (10-4 overall, 4-2 MIAA) will play its next three games at home, starting with a 3 o'clock Saturday contest against Alma College.
