ALBION – Taylor Peruchietti scored only one basket in her final game for the Albion College women's basketball team, but it ended a 5 ½ minute scoring drought as the Britons completed the season with a 61-60 victory over Olivet College.

Peruchietti's basket gave Albion a 37-26 lead with 16 ½ minutes to play.

Albion struggled to score in the second half as it connected on 8 of 27 shots from the field.

Albion was holding a seemingly comfortable 41-28 lead when Tanner Johnson produced a basket in the lane with 14 ½ minutes to play.

Stefanie Lane and Rachael Wagner combined to score 12 points for Olivet, but Albion was scoring just enough to hold a six-point lead with 4:20 to play. Olivet cut the margin to three, 55-52, when Kelsey Campbell buried a 3-point shot with 3:50 to play.

Tanner Johnson scored four free throws and Brett de Bear added a basket as Albion maintained the lead. Johnson, however, missed the front end of a 1-and-1 giving Olivet an opportunity to score the winning basket, but Kelsey Campbell's came up short on a layup with a second left.

Katie Thompson produced 14 points off the bench for Albion, hitting 6 of 8 shots. She also pulled down seven rebounds. Johnson and de Bear added 13 and 11, respectively.

SoQuitta DeShazor and Lang led Olivet with 14 points apiece.
