Britons lose Monday softball games

NAPLES, Fla. – Albion College came away with losses to Clark University (10-2) and Kenyon College (11-7) in Monday softball action at North Collier Regional Park.

Clark 10, Albion 2

Skyler Herman and Camille Roloff scored in the first inning and the lead held up as Albion took a 2-1 lead to the bottom of the sixth inning.

Clark scored nine times to end the game in the sixth.

Lauren Beougher collected two hits, including a double, for the Britons. Estacia Martinez hit a two-out single in the third.

Kenyon 11, Albion 7

Beougher drove in two runs with a single in the first inning and Roloff and Martinez each produced two-run hits for the Britons in the fourth inning.

Beougher finished 4-for-4 with two runs scored. Martinez added three hits.

On Deck

Albion returns to the North Collier Regional Park on Tuesday for a rematch with Clark at 11 a.m. and its first game against Drew University at 1 p.m.
