The Albion College softball program is partnering with the National Fastpitch Coaches Association in the effort to raise awareness as well as dollars for research that will one day beat cancer.
For the April 20 doubleheader against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Olivet College, the Britons do their part to Strikeout Cancer by donning special lavender jerseys to bring awareness to all forms of cancer. Anyone wishing to help the Britons raise funds to be donated to the local cancer alliance can purchase a jersey for $20.
In addition, ribbons in multiple colors representing various forms of cancer will be available for sale at Dempsey Field on game day.
