ALBION, Mich. – Albion College took advantage of the opportunity to play softball games for the first time in more than a week on Sunday. The Britons managed nine hits in the two games as it took 2-1 and 11-3 losses in non-league action at North Park University.
Game One
All of the scoring was done in the third inning.
Grace Connolly's two-out single pushed Savannah Spring across the plate with Albion's run.
North Park responded by getting its first two batters on base in the bottom half of the inning. Those runners scored on a one-out single by Ashley Campos.
Albion couldn't get a runner past second base the rest of the game.
Game Two
North Park scored three or more runs in three of the five innings.
Estacia Martinez and Lauren Beougher hit RBI singles for the Britons.
On Deck
Albion is scheduled to make up a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association doubleheader at Hope College on Monday and then return home on Wednesday for a 3:30 doubleheader against Trine University.
