FORT MYERS, Fla. – Grace Connolly hit a 3-run home run in the seventh inning, but Albion College's rally fell short in a 5-4 loss to The College at Brockport as the softball team completed a week of spring break games in the Sunshine State.

Connolly, a first-year designated player from Chicago, scored Albion's first run of the game. She hit a leadoff single in the second inning and scored on a sacrifice fly by Camille Roloff.

Connolly and Estacia Martinez combined for five of Albion's 10 hits in the game. Kelsie Vogleman was 1-for-3 with a walk.

Earlier in the morning, Albion took a 4-3 loss to Crown (Minn.) College. Lauren Beougher slugged her fourth homerun of the season. It was a solo shot.

Albion returns home with a 6-8 record. The Britons are scheduled to make their season debut at Dempsey Field with a 1 o'clock doubleheader against Bluffton (Ohio) University next Saturday.
