ALBION, Mich. – Julia Anderson collected three of Albion College's seven hits on the day as the Britons took 8-1 and 7-0 losses against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Kalamazoo College.
Game One
Hannah Pipkin hit a two-run homerun and Erin DuRoss drove in two runs to power Kalamazoo to an 8-0 lead in the fourth.
DuRoss, the Kalamazoo pitcher, retired the first nine Albion batters. She finished with 10 strikeouts.
Albion scored its only run of the day in the fourth. Elena Luce drew a two-out walk and she scored on Monica Brugnoni's single.
Game Two
Anderson collected two hits and Alice Garvin also hit a single for the Britons.
Andrea MacMichael collected three hits and three RBI for the Hornets. Dana Page and Erika Pueblo had two hits apiece.
On Deck
Albion's next MIAA doubleheader is a Tuesday date at Calvin.
