Luce Collects Three Hits In Softball Twinbill

ALBION, Mich. – Elena Luce collected three hits and scored Albion College's run in 12-1 and 12-0 losses to Olivet College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association softball doubleheader.

Game One

Luce hit a leadoff single in the first inning. Luce advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Julia Anderson and scored when Megan LaCavera laced a two-out single to center field.

Olivet batted around in the second inning, scoring seven times. Jessica Palumbo hit a leadoff home run and Madison Spry tacked on a grand slam.

Game Two

Luce started the game by sending a double to left field, but she was stranded at third base. LaCavera produced Albion's other hit, a two-out single in the fourth.

Kris Forest slugged two home runs and drove in six runs for the Comets. Spry and Kelsey Scheenks also hit home runs in the game.

On Deck

Albion continues MIAA play at 1 p.m. Saturday with a home doubleheader against Hope College.
