CHARLOTTE, Mich. – Albion College runners started the cross country season by running in a non-scored meet hosted by Olivet College.
Nathaniel Jennings was the first Briton to reach the finish, completing the 5K course in 17 minutes, 36 seconds. He was followed by Jayden VanMaurick (17:53), Noah Flint (18:02), Kaylen Brandon (18:31), Joseph Sakel (19:02), Zach Reynolds (19:09), Tyler White (20:05) and Edgar Zarate (23:33).
The Britons are scheduled to travel to Grand Rapids for a meet hosted by Calvin University on Sept. 7.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
