Britons Complete Fall Break Trip

GLADSTONE, Va. – Albion College completed a fall break training trip with the nationally ranked team from Christopher Newport University by competing in the Captains' Hill Assault meet.

Caroline Manning was the first Briton woman to finish, clocking a time of 27:50. She was followed by Phoebe Varney (28:19), Jessica Reynolds (31:43) and Sydney Graham (38:22).

Brandon Gary was the first Briton man to finish, reaching the line in 32:26. He was followed by Alec Badgley (32:52), Alex Harrell (34:09), Jon Wylie (34:27), Jontaj Wallace II (34:52) and Shane Mills (35:35).

"It was our first fall break trip to Virginia and we plan on keeping this as a tradition for future years," Albion Head Coach Derick Lawrence said. "It was a fun ending to the trip to compete against Christopher Newport."

Albion's top 13 runners will compete Saturday in a meet hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
