Three Britons Named Indoor All-Region

Three Britons gain all-region awards in indoor track & field.

Kejuan Frazier, Marcus Freeman, and ShaQuoria Thompson represent Albion College on the list of all-Great Lakes Region performers. They were awarded all-Great Lakes region status by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular indoor season.

The top five individuals in each event earned all-region distinction.

Frazier, a junior, achieved the fifth-longest shot put in the region (52' 10.75") in January an indoor personal best.

Freeman, a junior, achieved fifth in the region in the triple jump in February after sailing 13.96m (45'9.75") a personal best.

Thompson, a sophomore, achieved her second all-Great Lakes Regional distinction coming in fourth in the weight throw with a 54' 9.35" mark.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.

The College is continuing to raise funds in support of both projects. To learn more, call 517/629-0446 or email advancement@albion.edu
