Annorat leads Briton jumpers in track & field meet

TIFFIN, Ohio – Richard Annorat was the runner-up in the triple jump and he finished in the top eight in two other events as Albion College started the indoor track & field season.

The field included student-athletes from Division I Oakland University and Division II teams Tiffin and Ashland University.

Annorat sailed 45' 6 ½" in the triple jump. He was fourth in the high jump at 6' 4 ¼" and eighth in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.72 seconds.

Trevor Knowles also finished sixth in the triple jump, achieving a personal record of 43' 3", and Marcus Freeman advanced to the finals with a leap of 41' 4 ¼".

Knowles helped Albion gain a fourth place finish in the 4x400 relay. He joined Riley Barrett, Markeese Boyd and Shane Mills for a time of 3:42.70.

Albion also received fifth place finishes from distance runners Chase Baumgardner (mile run, 4:43.26) and Devon Funk (3,000 meters, 9:54.51).

Albion's next meet is the Dr. William Taraschke Classic. The meet is scheduled for Jan. 26 in Berea, Ohio.
