Robinson Peaking In Time For MIAA Meet

ADA, Ohio – Rayshawn Robinson placed in three events as Albion College gained fourth place out of eight teams assembled for the Polar Bear Invitational at Ohio Northern University.

Robinson scored second place in the triple jump, achieved a personal record in finishing fourth in the javelin throws and finished fifth in the long jump.

Also in the field events, Jacob Maurer gained a personal record in finishing fourth in the pole vault, Richard Annorat sailed to fifth place in the high jump and Andrew Strzelecki gained a personal record in the discus throw.

Competing outdoors for the first time this season, Jephte Jean-Claude finished second in the 110-meter hurdles.  He joined Sean Thomas, Michael Harvey and Markeese Boyd for second place in the 4x100 relay.

In longer distances, Ben Kolanowski and Boyd ran third and fourth, respectively, in the 400 meters, and James Weekley ran second and Jon Haadsma fourth in the 1,500.

Next up for the Britons is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships, set for May 4-5 in Grand Rapids.
