Men's Tennis falls in season finale

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Albion College men's tennis team completed the season with a 9-0 loss to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Kalamazoo College.

The Britons were 7-9 overall and 2-5 against MIAA rivals.

Israel Trevino and Toma Shngoo, Albion's No. 2 doubles team, tried to avoid a sweep of the doubles matches. The Britons fell, 8-5, as Kalamazoo gained a 3-0 lead in the match.

Trevino gave Albion its best showing in singles, losing the No. 4 flight by scores of 6-2, 6-2.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
