HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Albion College wasted little time in making its comeback against Lebanon Valley College in a spring break men's tennis match Tuesday afternoon.
Trailing 2-1 after doubles, Josh McGarry, Robert Joerg and Israel Trevino won their singles matches to boost Albion to a 4-2 lead.
Toma Shngoo clinched the match for Albion with a 6-3, 7-5 victory at No. 5 singles.
Patrick Smoker nearly put another point in Albion's column. Playing No. 6 singles, Smoker split sets with Ben Hinkley. Hinkley won the tiebreaker, 13-11, to take the match.
Albion returns to the court Wednesday afternoon for a match against Penn State University-Harrisburg.
