Josh McGarry leaned back on his summer work experience teaching tennis lessons when he and his teammates led a clinic for 90 local kids sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
"It's a great way to reach out to the community and share skills specific to our sport," McGarry said, noting there were stations where the kids worked in volley, serve, footwork and racquet skills.
"I love seeing kids when they pick up a new skill," McGarry said.
The Britons are gearing up for their first matches of the spring semester. The men's team has a Feb. 16 home match vs. Greenville University, while the women's team prepares for a Feb. 23 contest at Holy Cross (Ind.) College.
