Men's Tennis Rolls To Victory Over MIAA Rival

OLIVET, Mich. – Albion College earned its first victory over a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival this season, dispatching Olivet College, 9-0, Saturday afternoon.

The Britons set the tone of the match at No. 3 doubles as Toma Shngoo and Israel Trevino scored an 8-0 victory.

Albion won all six singles matches in straight sets. Zach McKenzie (No. 1) was a 6-1, 6-1 winner, and he was followed in the lineup by Josh McGarry (6-0, 6-2 at No. 2), Robert Joerg (6-0, 6-1 at No. 3), Trevino (6-0, 6-0 at No. 4), Shngoo (6-1, 6-2 at No. 5) and Alexander Dow (6-0, 6-1 at No. 6).

Albion (4-10 overall and 1-2 against MIAA rivals) will play its final home match of the season April 11 against Alma College. The doubles matches are set to start at 4 p.m.
