SOUTH BEND, Ind. – While the score sheet reports Bethel College defeated Albion College, 8-1, in a non-league men's tennis match Saturday, it does not accurately reflect how even the individual matches were.

Israel Trevino produced Albion's point, winning tiebreakers to outlast Brad Foster 7-6 (7-1), 7-6 (7-4) at No. 3 singles.

Josh McGarry (No. 1 singles), Robert Joerg (No. 2 singles) andf Alex Dow (No. 5 singles) all split sets with their opponents before losing a tiebreaker to decide each match. Griffin Caudell, playing No. 6 singles, extended his opponent to 7-5 in the first set before losing the match in straight sets.

In doubles, Joerg and McGarry forced a tiebreaker before losing the match in the No. 1 flight.

Albion, 3-7 on the season, will play a Sunday match at Hanover College.
