Albion Falls In Men's Tennis Opener

ALBION, Mich. - Albion College had opportunities to pull out an opening day victory in men's tennis, but the Britons were unable to pull out a pair of singles matches decided by a 10-point tiebreaker. Trine University left with a 6-3 victory over the Britons.

Zach McKenzie and Josh McGarry won their singles matches in straight sets. Peter Pappas and Nick Kinachtchouk split sets with their rivals in singles, but the Britons were unable to win the tiebrakers.

Robert Joerg and Kinachtchouk won the No. 3 doubles match for the Britons. McGarry and Pappas lost the No. 2 doubles match, 9-7.

Albion will travel to Kentucky this weekend for non-league matches against Transylvania and Centre.
